We know it’s been an incredibly hard year. People miss their friends; juggling home-schooling and work feels like a never-ending task and it’s easy to turn to drink as a way of coping with that. But alcohol isn’t the answer – it leaves you feeling foggy the next morning, you don’t sleep as well and have even less energy to deal with the kids.
Our research-based campaign is here to help you, with real insights from real North Yorkshire people, sharing how they gave up or cut down on the drink. We want to motivate you to ‘Wake Up’ to a better you and embrace life without the hangover.

We know that working from home, home schooling and not seeing friends has made life more difficult than ever. 43% of North Yorkshire* has said they now want to cut down on their drinking and we’re here to help
Take a Break
Some people find taking a break from booze altogether helps them ‘reset’ their relationship with alcohol for good. And it’s not just for ‘Dry January’ and ‘Sober October’ – you can do it at any time of year!
Alcohol can quickly become a part of your daily routine. A good way to take control of your drinking is to make sure that you have days off from alcohol.

A great way to reduce your alcohol consumption is by shrinking the size of your drinks. By choosing to shrink your drink you will be saving money and calories and you will wake up feeling fresher the next day.
